This was my first judging appointment for Deerhounds in the UK, and I was very much looking forward to judge at this well organized run show. I was pleased with the number of entries. Living in Norway I have been very fortunate to see many very beautiful Deerhounds, one of my favorite sighthound breeds. Because of this admiration for the breed I have taken part at the club shows in the UK, in America and of course in Norway. I have had the pleasure of visiting Miss Noble of Ardkinglas fame. All cherished moments that have influenced me in what a nice Deerhound should look like. I very much enjoyed my day in the ring, and found some really nice Deerhounds in front of me. The depth was in the bitches, especially in limit. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and I would like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their dogs to show under me.

1. STORMFOREST NAHARIS AT KILBOURNE
Attractive type and over all look, excellent proportions. Slightly heavy in skull, eyes could be darker. Beautiful long well set neck, excellent topline with nice curves. Adequate depth of brisket. Would like a better angled upper arm, well angulated rear with good bend of stifle. Balanced on the move, but could have had some more strength and power. Excellent coat and temperament.
2. KILBOURNE TYNE
2 year old, a bit stronger than 1. Well bodied with good depth of brisket. Beautiful well shaped head with an excellent expression. Decent length of neck, slightly too arched in the topline. Lacks forechest, decent angulated upper arm, well angulated rear. Strength and power in movement, carries his tail too high ruining the typical outline. Super coat quality.
